Glossary
Quick definitions of every FlowEntry term used in the app and the docs.
A
Active zone
A zone whose daily-close breakout has triggered a trade. Lives in the Trades tab, not the Zones tab.
Alpha (α)
Per-coin threshold. When a day’s raw alert count meets or exceeds the coin’s alpha, the day turns gold (Sigma) and a zone is drawn. Default is 10. Adjustable on the chart.
B
Band (Book Depth)
One of three price ranges from mid: 0–2.5% (immediately around price), 2.5–5% (mid-near), 5–10% (far). Each band’s bid/ask weight renders independently.
Barbell book
A Book Depth pattern: gold band 1 plus gold band 3 with band 2 neutral. Tight and far buyers committed, with nothing in between. Often associated with patient accumulation.
Book badge
Small B:NN% (gold) or A:NN% (silver) text in a Scanner tile corner, present when the latest book ratio is meaningfully one-sided. The reliable readout on hot ✦ tiles where the alert glow drowns the book glow.
Book Depth
Daily snapshot of the dollar weight of resting orders in three price bands around mid price. Renders as gold/silver gradient rectangles on the price pane.
Book glow
Soft gold (bid-leaning) or silver (ask-leaning) outer glow on a Scanner tile when the latest book ratio is meaningfully one-sided.
Buy / Sell
For each day, splits Sigma’s count into how many fired as buying vs selling. Displayed as a green-up / red-down percentage histogram.
C
Cash Volume
Dollar value of Sigma events, aggregated into chart-bar buckets. Three modes: Total (cyan), Buy/Sell (green/red overlap), Net (green if positive, red if negative).
Coins above
For D. Momentum and W. Momentum: raw count of coins meeting the strength criterion that day or week. The bar height in the histogram pane.
Colour flip
A transition between tiers (red → gold → green for D. Momentum, dark → mid → light blue for W. Momentum). The most predictive event the momentum reads produce.
D
D. Momentum
Daily share of the USDT market positioned strong. Three-tier palette: green (broad strength), gold (mixed), red (broad weakness). Market-wide, not per-symbol.
Dual-signal tile
A Scanner tile carrying both a hot ✦ and a book-direction badge agreeing with the bias (✦ + B:NN% for long bias, ✦ + A:NN% for short bias). Two independent FlowEntry signals on one tile.
F
Fire badge (🔥×N)
On Scanner range tiles: number of days inside the selected range where a coin’s daily count met or exceeded its alpha. Tiles with 2 or 3+ fires get a brighter halo.
G
Ghost wall
A Whale Wall that disappeared between refreshes. Drawn dashed for a few cycles to flag the removal. Often signals a whale stepping out of the way before a move.
Gold day / hot day
A day where the coin’s raw alert count met or exceeded its alpha. Bar turns gold; zone gets drawn.
H
Hot tile
A Scanner tile where today’s raw alert count is at or above that coin’s alpha. Marked with a gold ✦.
I
Imbalance pill
Inline number on the Whale Walls toggle showing total bid-wall dollars vs total ask-wall dollars. Cyan if greater than 1.0, pink if less.
Isolated zone
A pinned zone shown on the chart while zone isolation is active. While at least one zone is pinned, the chart draws ONLY pinned zones — the range pill is overridden.
Isolation chip
Small persistent chip below the Market Wall Bias tag showing how many zones are pinned: gold for Sigma, purple for Pulse. Click the ✕ to clear.
L
Lone mover
A coin whose Sigma fires gold while Pulse is cold. The move is independent of any market-wide rotation. Could be early accumulation, news, or a one-off.
M
Market regime day
A day with high market-wide breadth of unusual flow. Pulse purple highlights it.
Max Unrealized %
Peak paper P&L a trade reached while open. Updated only when a new high is hit, never decreases. Shown next to the exit emoji on Trade Markers and on each Trades tab card.
Mixed day (Buy / Sell)
A gold Sigma day where neither side is near 100% in the Buy/Sell split. Signals two-way unusual activity, often shows up at indecision points.
O
“Only” link
Per-row action in the zone isolation picker. Clears any current pins and isolates just that one date. Same effect as right-clicking a single zone bar and choosing “Isolate this zone”.
Overheated regime (W. Momentum)
A long stretch of light-blue bars during a sustained uptrend. High strength gone on long enough to be a top-side risk.
P
Period selector
3M / 6M / 1Y / All dropdown next to Sigma and Pulse. Controls zone overlay only. Histogram bars always render across the full visible chart range.
Picker panel
Floating panel opened by the gold target icon (Sigma) or purple target icon (Pulse) next to the threshold input. Lists every zone-qualifying day in history with date, value, and an “Only” shortcut per row. Mutually exclusive — opening one closes the other.
Pulse
Daily count of how many USDT coins (stablecoins excluded) crossed their own alpha that day. Market-wide, not per-symbol. Four-tier palette: purple (Hot), cyan (High), pink (Medium), slate (Cold).
Pulse threshold
User-set count above which a Pulse day is Hot (purple bar plus purple zone). Default 31. Adjustable.
Pulse zone
Purple rectangle on the price pane at a Hot Pulse day’s high–low. Same set of dates on every coin’s chart, because Pulse is market-wide.
R
Range mode (Scanner)
The four non-Live pill states: Yesterday, 7D, 30D, Custom. Same heatmap surface as Live, different time aggregation. Capped at 31 days.
Ratio (Book Depth)
A band’s lean: positive means bid-heavy (gold), negative means ask-heavy (silver), near zero means neutral (no draw).
Replaced zone
A zone superseded by a newer Sigma signal on the same coin. Silently dropped from the UI.
S
Scanner
Heatmap grid of the most active USDT coins. Live mode (today’s σ) plus range modes (Yesterday / 7D / 30D / Custom).
Scanner glow
Subtle gold/silver edge on Scanner tiles, derived from the latest day’s averaged ratio across the three Book Depth bands.
Sigma (σ)
Daily count of unusual one-sided flow events on a coin. The headline indicator. Bar gold if the count meets the coin’s alpha, gray otherwise.
Sparkline
Strip of cells on each Scanner range-mode tile, one per day. Cell states: fired (gold), lit (green, had alerts but didn’t fire), empty (dark). Shows the pattern of activity across the range.
Stop-and-reverse
Bot behaviour: when a daily close stops out an open trade, the same zone immediately opens an opposite-direction trade at that close price. The zone stays ACTIVE; only the trade flips.
T
Trade Markers
On-chart visualisation of every trade the bot has taken on the current coin. Entry arrows, exit emojis with max-unrealized %, and a full candle recolour for any open-trade period. Three modes: Off / All / Current.
Trap Warning
Whale Walls tooltip annotation that appears when a wall is inside a Sigma gold zone but the book is biased the opposite way. The zone may fail; the wall may be a magnet for a stop hunt.
Triple Confluence
Whale Walls tooltip annotation that appears when a wall is inside a Sigma gold zone and the book is biased the same way as the wall. Strongest demand-zone signal in the app.
U
Unusual of the unusual
A high-σ day represents a coin firing many alerts when it is already unusual for that coin to fire any. Per-event unusual plus per-coin-day unusual.
W
W. Momentum
Weekly share of the USDT market positioned strong. Three-tier blue palette: light, mid, dark. Market-wide, not per-symbol. Slower than D. Momentum on purpose.
Watching zone
A zone with status WATCHING. Price has not yet broken above or below the band on a daily close. Lives in the Zones tab.
Whale wall
An unusually large cluster of resting orders at a price level. Drawn live as a cyan (bid) or pink (ask) horizontal line on the price pane.
Z
Zone
Gold rectangle on the price chart marking the high–low range of a hot Sigma day. Drawn at the alert day’s daily candle range, extended forward in time.
Zone isolation
User-pinned subset of zone-qualifying days that overrides the range pill (3M / 6M / 1Y / All). With no pins the chart shows every zone as before; with one or more pins the chart shows ONLY those. Persists across range and threshold changes; clears when you switch coins or timeframes.
